Lema Contract: a new project for Bocconi University
After the turnkey project for the Isonzo Residence, curated in 2014, Lema continues by also furnishing the Castiglioni Residence, the iconic 9-storey cylindrical tower – designed to cater for 300 beds – that stands out in the new Milan Luigi Bocconi University campus designed by Studio SANAA by Kazuyo Sejima and Ryue Nishizawa.
An extensive landscape and environmental project in Zone 5, located in the former “Centrale del Latte” (Milan’s dairy central), where a citadel open to the community and students was created, thus regenerating the urban scene of the surrounding neighbourhood.
A new prestigious reference for Lema Contract, who provided all the fixed and loose furnishings of the students’apartments as well as those in the common areas of the ground floor and the first floor, together with Costa Zanibelli Associati who curated the project’s planning and supervision.
Lema has been once again reconfirmed as the ideal partner for residential and public projects, where the focus is customisation. In addition to the technical know-how consolidated over the years in the development of customized industrial solutions, another important added value is the company’s constant relationship with the designers. In the Giussano plant, designed by Angelo Mangiarotti, the Contract division engineers and manufacturers create custom furnishings for different needs: from retail to hospitality, from corporate to multiapartment to the most exclusive private residences all over the world.
