Gordon Guillaumier was born in Malta in 1966 and studied in Malta, Switzerland, England and Italy. He obtained a diploma in industrial design at the IED in Milan (1988-1991) before gaining a Master's in Industrial Design at the Domus Academy in Milan (1992).
In 1993, after an internship at Baleri Associati, he teamed up with Rodolfo Dordoni to design his first pieces. In 2002, he opened his own studio, working on product design as well as providing consultancy on design projects.
He has collaborated with brands such as Azzurra Ceramiche, Bosa, Ceramiche Piemme, Desalto, DeSede, Driade, FontanaArte, Foscarini, Frag, Matteo Grassi, Minotti, Montina, Moroso, Oluce, Pamar, Paola C, Roda and Tacchini.
He has received various awards, including the Interzum 2011 Award, the Wallpaper Design Award 2014 and the Compasso d’Oro 2016. He has designed various projects for Lema since 2012.
