Gullwing is a table system born from the in-depth research of Gabriele and Oscar Buratti into the “complex essentiality” of curvilinear forms and the value of volumetric richness that springs from them. The project is characterized by the skilful combination of materials and the sculptural shapes of the base, which interact with light and space, generating chiaroscuro, reflections, and continuously shifting cuts.
A strong and decisive, sinuous mark like a wing characterizes the primary extruded element that, when paired, structures the bases of the different versions of Gullwing. The same element can be used in compositions of four as a central base for the round versions. The systemic nature is, in fact, another key feature of this project: the single structural element, in painted metal complete with technical supports for fixing, makes it possible to build tables with tops of different shapes—rectangular, square, round, oval—and sizes, from small to very large. The bases in painted and matte lacquered metal are combined with tops in wood, marble, porcelain stoneware, and in the clay and reconstructed marble material finishes, exclusive to Lema.
Gullwing by LEMA, designed by Gabriele and Oscar Buratti, is a system of tables with sculptural metal bases, the result of research into curvilinear shapes and volumetry. The tops, in various shapes—rectangular, square, round, and oval—are made of wood, marble, porcelain stoneware, and material finishes such as clay and reconstructed marble, exclusive to Lema. The top is made of 40 mm MDF with variable geometry edges, treated with innovative techniques that ensure aesthetics and resistance, while still requiring careful maintenance. The base in extruded aluminum with a matte finish guarantees stability and durability. Gullwing represents the craftsmanship and sustainability of true Made in Italy by LEMA.
