Opened in 1910 by the Boucicaut family, the Lutetia immediately became a famous meeting place for writers and artists: from Joyce to Beckett, from Hemingway to Picasso. Acquired in 2010 by the Israeli group Alrov, it is today the only hotel beyond 5 stars on the Rive Gauche. Lema developed customized solutions for each room capable of combining the stylistic requirements of Jean-Michel Wilmotte’s project with the technical constraints imposed by the renovation of a historic building of such importance, integrating technical systems, security systems, air conditioning, home automation.

A work of rediscovery and enhancement of memory, both for the structures and for the furnishings: the renovation intervention had as its main objective to give new life to the structure, reducing the number of rooms to increase their size, while preserving as much as possible the original structure without altering its charm and historical value.

Lema Contract realized all the fixed furnishings of the rooms according to the project, providing floors, ceilings, wood cladding for the walls and bow windows; doors in wood essence, glass, and gold; paneling and bed headboards; minibar furniture. Thanks to its deep expertise, Lema Contract also developed and internally produced the blue and gray oak fabric-effect paneling designed by the Wilmotte studio. A three-dimensional finish, a true element of high cabinetmaking.
