Lema Contract signed the custom furnishings for the 193 rooms, including 10 suites at The Dixon, an exclusive address in the heart of South Bank. Located on Tooley Street, The Dixon enjoys a strategic location just steps from Tower Bridge, Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, Tate Modern, and the Bridge Theatre.
The Dixon Hotel
Belonging to Marriott's Autograph Collection, the chain that includes over 160 independent hotels characterized by strong personality worldwide, The Dixon is named after John Dixon Butler, a famous and mysterious late 1800s architect who designed the Edwardian building in 1905, originally the Tower Bridge Magistrates' Court.
The building, which also housed a police station and a prison, is now classified as a historic monument and was acquired in 2014 by Domivs Group, an independent family business operating in hospitality, real estate, and private equity. Thanks to an extensive restoration, it has preserved the strong Edwardian heritage, starting from the large windows and the intact facade.
The architectural renovation was led by Twenty2Degrees, which created a refined interior design project capable of combining classic and modern elements. Lema managed the design, creation, and installation of all closets, paneling, beds, TV units, minibars in the rooms, including doors and bathroom furnishings, working closely with the developer and Twenty2Degrees at every stage of development.
