Yard Sofa: the sofa as a furnishing system
The idea of a systemic sofa finds its highest expression in this project by Francesco Rota, combining the modularity of upholstery with that of storage systems, an integral part of LEMA’s DNA. The collection, which reinterprets the creativity typical of 1960s industrial design, was born from the desire to find a meeting point with the systems: the upholstered volumes integrate with support surfaces, shelves, coffee tables, and storage units that, used in different configurations, create ever-changing multifunctional compositions.
The structure, made of metal covered in fabric, is a surface supported by flat-section legs that creates a base for the cushions and armrests, in a harmonious contrast that becomes a fundamental aesthetic feature. The same surface also serves as a support for the shelves and storage components. The collection is completed by an elegant daybed, also offered in a precious leather version.
