LEMA @ PLEASE, HAVE A SEAT

The world of creativity comes together in Kortrijk, the Belgian town that since 1968 has hosted the Biennale Interieur, the exhibition devoted entirely to design. This year, from the 15th of October to the 14th of November, the city is hosting Please Have a Seat, a new event on the Biennale Interieur programme that puts the spotlight on over 200 chairs and contemporary design objects. The event features major furniture and design brands as well as numerous international institutions and young talent.

An unmissable event for Lema, it will be presenting a selection from its seating collection: elegant yet informal furnishing accessories that fit perfectly in a wide variety of settings. The exhibition’s focus will be enhanced with skilful lighting and simple backdrops. The first proposal, intended for the dining and home office areas, is the Ombra leather armchair, the quintessence of Lema's discreet style and Piero Lissoni's rigorous line. Outstanding for its finely designed architecture, the outlines of the metal frame support the shell, which seamlessly accommodates the seat and backrest.

Another product that will be exhibited is the Bai Lu chair, designed by the Chinese architecture studio Neri&Hu, featuring a typically Asian design and sinuous forms. Made of wood with leather-covered seat and back, Bai Lu is also available with lacquered or eco-leather back. For the living and relaxation area, Lema presents two seats designed to fit into any setting where a welcoming atmosphere and conviviality, relaxation and warmth are to the fore. The first is the Alton armchair by David Lopez Quincoces with a specially tailored backrest, made with over 200 metres of aged, natural leather cord wound by hand.

The Maddix lounge chair by Studio Dainelli completes the offer for the wellness area. Its distinctive character expresses the beauty of natural materials, such as wood and leather. The soul of Maddix lies in the evocative dialogue between two elements: the airy ash frame that supports the leather backrest. With its contemporary aesthetic, Maddix proclaims the value of Lema's ingrained manufacturing culture.
