The wardrobe that breathes

The Lema Air Cleaning System is the innovative and patented system that once again revolutionises the concept of the wardrobe, for the first time making it play an active role in sanitising clothing, footwear and any other object contained within. Another first for Lema, the first company to launch,on the Italian market in the 80s, a unique tailored configuration like Armadio al Centimetro.

Design + technology = well-being

Each day, we spend a great deal of our busy lives in environments outside our homes, in places such as offices, public transport, shopping centres, restaurants, hotels and gyms. In these places, the quality of air is poor due to inadequate air-recycling: viruses, bacteria, allergens, moulds, carbon monoxide and particulate matter permeate our clothing, generating bad odours as well as increasing the incidence of allergies and respiratory problems.

Mindful of today’s busy lifestyle, Lema has directed an ever-greater attention to its customers, focusing on improving their well-being. There is constant and passionate research activity on both the aesthetic and functional levels, which has always identified the brand that is today one of the top players of Made in Italy around the world.

The Lema Air Cleaning System, outcome of more than twelve months of research and a worldwide exclusive, uses nanotechnology and a special UV lamp to generate a photochemical reaction within the wardrobe that naturally destroys viruses, bacteria, odours and mould, improving the customers’ well-being, reducing allergies and respiratory problems. The wardrobe is entirely sanitised, including internally and at the back, without air resistance.

It eliminates up to 90% of bad odours emanating from stored clothing and footwear, both in fabric and leather.

Without affecting the aesthetics, the system, available as an optional, is installed on top of the Armadio al Centimetro wardrobes with hinged, sliding and coplanar doors.

Patented technology

One-of-a-kind on the market for its performance, the Lema Air Cleaning System, built in collaboration with AIR CONTROL, uses the patented PCO-PX5 technology of Dust Free, Photocatalytic Oxidation, a technique used to purify aerospace environments, where one of the main issues is precisely the quality and cleanliness of the air, and is also widely used in hospitals and in the medical and food industries. Photocatalytic oxidation, based on the interaction between light and semiconductor particles, produces highly reactive oxygen species (ROS), such as OH•, OH-, O2-•, HO2•, H2O2 hydroxyl, capable of destroying organic (chemical and biological) contaminants. Thus, the LEMA Air Cleaning System, in a totally safe and non-toxic way, produces Hydrogen Peroxide H2O2, one of the most effective components for killing bacteria and viruses.

Benefits

Complete sanitisation of the wardrobe, including internally and at the back, from bacteria, odours and mould

Reduction of the bacteria count, elimination of harmful particles and air resistance within the wardrobe, reducing allergies and respiratory problems

Elimination of up to 90% of odours from clothes, footwear and other personal items, both in fabric and leather

Microbial challenge scientifically tested, it reduces over 90% of the bacterial charge and the related odour caused by bacteria

Patented with PCO-PX5 technology by Dust Free with photocatalytic oxidation used in hospitals, aerospace environments and the medical and food industries

Effective against viruses

Application

The Lema Air Cleaning System is available for the 432-478-570-889-981-1165 mm units, for hinged, sliding and coplanar doors.

The diffuser is proposed in two finishes: bronze-painted and sand-painted.

The shelf connected to the diffuser is available with or without the “strip” light.

Technology, consumption and maintenance

It is possible to choose from among different cycles lasting from 2 to 8 hours

Low voltage and amperage system

Independent and controlled by a multifunctional switch located on the side of the wardrobe

Highly efficient ERP2018 ventilation

Simple maintenance: the UV lamp should be replaced every 2 years.

The device is extremely quiet when in use. Positioned on the top of the wardrobe and protected by the front doors, its presence is practically unnoticed.
