BATTERSEA POWER STATION PHASE 1

Lema was involved in the development of Circus West Village, the first phase of the ambitious development at Battersea Power Station which has completely redesigned this area of West London, overlooking the Thames. The development, which was built with eco-friendly criteria, was designed by Simpson Haugh Architects, and rises on the western side of the former Battersea Power Station, which has been out of service since 1983, and from which the surrounding neighbourhood, ‘Battersea’, takes its name. Circus West Village is composed of 17 floors totalling 327 metres in height, it is characterised by the multi-faceted glass facade. There are 753 apartments which include 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments, townhouses and penthouses, as well as gardens and public areas for residents. There are also offices, shops, bars, restaurants and a newly-built park overlooking the river. Lema was involved in the design, production and installation of the 2,300 bespoke wardrobes for all the apartments of this phase.
