Bespoke service

Lema Contract is able to handle large custom orders through an integrated approach that encompasses every stage of the process, from concept development to prototyping, mock-ups, logistics and final installation. The “bespoke” service represents a particular value of Lema Contract: for every project we work on, clients will find us to be an experienced partner which provides a technical team that can interpret their vision and accommodate all the aesthetic and practical requirements. Each project is unique and one-of-a-kind: it starts as an idea on a piece of paper, then that concept is transformed into furniture, accessories and special pieces. The experience we’ve built up over the years enables us to map out a clear project roadmap, complete with timings and full costings, to enable clients to produce a feasibility study for the project as a whole, not just for the supply of furniture and accessories, but for structural layouts too. Our after-sale service is a further big plus, maintaining continuity and making sure that products remain available to clients. And of course, we’re always ready to plan additional custom activities to bring a project up-to-date.

Since 2004, with the structure of 25,000 square metres, Lema opens a new head-quarters entirely dedicated to Contract with internal production and a specialised staff dedicated to bespoke "turnkey" projects of large international orders. Lema Contract is able to interpret the evolution of the market and respond to customer needs thanks to a specialised division in which the skills of traditional artisan knowledge are combined with the use of cutting-edge technologies and industrial scale processes.

hospitality

Lema Contract manufactures custom-made furniture for the hospitality sector, offers specific skills for the analysis of projects, deals with their realisation, manages the qualitative, regulatory and logistical aspects, taking care and optimising all the production phases up to testing.

residential

Lema Contract creates custom-made furnishings for apartments and residences. The know-how accumulated in this type of activity makes Lema an ideal partner, able to solve problems both of technology related to furnishings and of management of the production and installation times. Lema acts as a problem solver in dealing with “turnkey” projects and approaches them by providing all the knowledge it has.

Lema Contract in corporate synergy with IOC Project Partners, is able to develop and produce furniture and equipped walls for offices, even bespoke. The decade of experience of this collaboration in customising solutions together with the control of internal production, allows us to competently deal with the realisation of every type of request and complexity contained in the projects.

retail

Lema Contract for Retail is able to manage the articulated and complex process for the creation of stores and franchises. Thanks to the decades of experience gained in the sector, Lema has established an internal structure able to control and optimise the entire production cycle up to distribution and installation and can guarantee an effective after-sales service of assistance and support.

Processes

01.Initial project approach

The Interior Designer/Developer/Architect contacts LEMA for the first time, thanks to our targeted expertise and professionalism, we start to understand the project and what the expectations are for the final result.

02.Investigation

During this stage, all the financial and technical information is given to the client. Preliminary sketches, quotes, choice of materials and components as well as the samples are discussed.

03.Engineering

This is a series of activities where the materials are sourced and where the complex construction drawings are developed and produced. During this stage, LEMA’s know-how is translated into a fine-tuning of materials and details that must satisfy the original plan specification.

04.Project Plan

During this stage, all the elements that will be supplied for the project are identified and positioned (bedroom, bathroom, reception area etc…). A BOM (Bill of Materials) is created for each individual space.

05.Creation of Assembly Procedure

For each area the assembly procedure is established and coded including the production of a timescale indicating when the various materials will be prepared. This stage is part of the on going monitoring of the work in progress.

06.Production

All of LEMA’s units and furniture is made in the company’s two factories: Alzate Brianza(specialised in the industrial production of furniture in great quantities, where the key is the relation between quality and price) and Giussano(specialised in producing limited items that require special care such as wood working and lacquering finishes). These custom made products are strictly ‘Made in Italy’ and measure up to the strict UK quality standards.

08.Assembly and Installation

The furnishing elements are delivered following the project’s timescale. A Site Manager is present at all times of assembly to ensure a smooth outcome. Lema UK’s Contract team will take care of all aspects from defining the installation plan to verifying the site logistics and supervising the installation workers and the final handover.

09.After-Sales Service

Managing everything from the initial design to budgeting, procurement, through to delivery and after sales service in both the short and long terms.

Lema’s UK team strives to deliver a day two-service provision across both the home and contract divisions. We acknowledge the needs of existing clients are different to those of the new; therefore we place a strong emphasis on our after sales service. We have a manager and team assigned exclusively for this service.

By having unmatched access to high specification furniture and storage units, we are able to source and advise on a wide range of products and services relating to the residential, hospitality and office environment varying according to budget and specific needs.
