CHRISTOPHE PILLET

Christophe Pillet was born in 1959 and graduated from the Decorative Arts School in Nice in 1985. In 1986, he obtained a Master's Degree from the Domus Academy in Milan. Pillet worked with Martine Berlin in Milan between 1986 and 1988, before collaborating with Philippe Stark from 1988 to 1993, when he opened his own studio. Pillet was named Creator of the Year at the Salon du Meuble in 1994. He operates in a variety of sectors including furniture design, product design, interior design and stage design. He has collaborated with Cappellini, Daum, JC Decaux, Driade, Ecart International, L’Oréal, Lacoste, Moroso, Renault, Serralunga, Shiseido, Shu Uemura, Veuve Cliquot Ponsardin and Whirlpool, as well as overseeing a number of residential and hospitality projects. He has taken part in many exhibitions, such as "Memphis" in Milan in 1989, at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris in 1989, “Les capitales du design” and “20 ans de Création en France” at the Georges Pompidou Centre in 1991 and 1997, “Proximus Motion Signs” in Brussels in 2003 and “Domeau & Pérès 10 ans de Design”, featuring work by 12 French creators, in 2005. He has been the subject of a number of personal exhibitions, such as “Via carte blanche” in Paris in 1993, “Parismix” in Osaka in 1997, at the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design in Reims in 2000 and at Artelano in Singapore and Tokyo in 2002. He has designed a variety of objects for Lema since 2012.
